Jeff bought the cabin in December 1994. It has taken until 2002 to get to this point. The one thing we didn't have to change was the view. The picture above was taken in the front yard! (Click on the links below to see before and after pictures of the cabin.)

We did extensive renovations to the cabin. The first thing Jeff did was to take the interior down to the four exterior walls. Other renovations included:

• Removed old, peeling red paint from logs and stained with log stain
• Removed old chinking and applied new chinking
• Put main beam in the crawl space
• Drilled new well
• Tore off two layers of old roof and put on a new roof
• Put cultured stone around foundation
• Insulated attic (There had been no insulation before)
• Installed Propane wall furnace (only wood heat before)
